MAIA Intelligence BI Quotient 2009

The Business Intelligence (BI) landscape
has seen high demand in the last couple of years, with
the large enterprise vendors, acquiring smaller BI players,
BI being on top in CIO’s Priority List for 3rd year
in a row—all this highlighting the important role that
BI is playing in the strategic planning and performance
management for enterprises. In the backdrop of such
developments, Express Group’s Technology Senate 7.0
(Phuket, August 20-23, 2009) sessions shall include
a series of quizzes on BI, many CIOs expressing a lot
of enthusiasm about the event held in Dubai.
It would be an interesting event! The quiz
'Business Intelligence Quotient 2009 – Quiz Your
BI Intellect' has CIOs thinking on their toes to
get the right answers, even as the audience comprising
CIOs wait with baited breath to see who among their
CIO friends would finally emerge as the winner.
About the Quiz
The aim of the quiz is to bring together
the sharpest CIO minds. It will be a battleground for
the cleverest, fastest and most knowledgeable CIO minds.
Besides, the quiz will also be a test of knowledge (in
the BI / DW space) and speed of response, in a highly
competitive and entertaining format, and have attractive
prizes. The quiz aims to highlight the importance of
BI in enterprises among the CIO community.
Quiz Format
A written elimination round of 10 questions
will be held at the start for all CIOs. From the contestants,
five CIOs will be invited for three rounds of live quiz
questions, from whom the winners will be selected. This
written elimination round shall consist of questions
from business intelligence, data warehousing and related
subjects such as corporate, personalities, brands, markets,
etc. We plan to include few questions related to MAIA
Intelligence, which will be asked from the reading material
shared with all CIOs at the start of the day. CIOs will
then be judged on accuracy and speed of their response.

Guidelines
- There is no entry fee
- This is only for CIOs. Not for event partners, vendors
or sponsors
- One entry per CIO in the written elimination round
- Decision of the organizers and quiz master will
be final & binding for all issues related to MAIA
Intelligence BI Quotient 2009
- Winners of previous days' quiz will not be eligible
to participate for subsequent quiz sessions
